Uberorgan

In 2000, Tim Hawkinson installed his massive Uberorgan at Mass MOCA.  The piece was over 300' long and consisted of thirteen inflated bags that resembled that bags of a bag pipe.  As large sheets were fed through the machine, black spots told the organ what notes to play.  The piece was a large, goofy, hand crafted sculpture made of low tech materials assembled in an impressive fashion.  In the video attached, it is apparent that the work takes the grandiosity of a pipe organ to a new scale.
