Tony Plant

Since one of the things we learned before our first exam was Earthworks, I felt like the artist, Tony Plant, was a perfect example of recent Earthworks. His work is very similar to Spiral Jetty, by Robert Smithson, except it disappears much faster, in fact Plants work only lasts until the tide comes in. That is because he uses a rake to draw in the sand, and then watches the water wash away the work of art he had recently finished. In fact here is a video of him doing just that...
