Motohiko Odani is a Contemporary Japanese sculptor known for his "imaginative, elegant, and yet unsettling works" which can leave any one breathless. His interest is very Futurist. His work captures movement, transformations, speed and are very dynamic. He describes his work as the phantoms hidden inside of us which our eyes cannot see. His themes of death, love, national identity and an ethereal spiritual life are characterized in his style.
I found his sculptures mesmerizing and without thinking caught myself lost in my train of thoughts as I stared at them. They seem to be able to tell so many different stories and almost come to life.
