During a trip to New Orleans, I ran across a gallery featuring an artist by the name of Craig Tracy. He is painter who not only paints on canvas, but paints the human body to incorporate in each piece. Tracy was always fascinated with painting faces and one day moved on to the human figure as a whole. Tracy's attitude toward art is that not everything has been done and that artists should continue to explore new things.
It is a challenge to include both human and canvas. The human form is rounded, there for the artist had to create an illusion through painting in order to avoid distortion. It is always interesting to look for the body parts of each piece, keeping the eye on a mission.
i saw this when i was in new orleans also, the gallery is amazing and the process he goes through is so cool too.
