A short article from an issue of LIFE magazine takes a short look at the pop artist Roy Lichtenstein, in which critics both hated and praised his large-scale renditions of scenes from various comic books during the early 60’s. The massive amount of controversy generated as a result of these reproductions was probably what skyrocketed his popularity during this time.
