ALEXA//SHEILA

Alexa Meade and Shelia Vand met through the internet and decided to collaborate on a photographic project. Using milk as the base medium, Meade would paint Vand's body to fluidly integrate with the milk's white as if she was a living painting on canvas; Vand would then lay into a small pool of milk, and Meade would photograph her during the fleeting moment in which her body and the paint made contact with the milk. This process was reenacted daily, producing varying results from the infinite possibilities dependent on the painting, color, photography, and the state of the milk.
